Tri-County law enforcement and organizations will assist the unsheltered on Saturday

The sheriff's offices of the Tri-County are coming together with organizations, agencies, and churches to assist the unsheltered and low-income community.

The Extending Branches event will take place on April 20 at Seacoast Church Summerville, 301 E 5th North St. in Summerville, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The sheriff's offices of Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties, along with other participants, will provide guidance and resources to the unsheltered and low-income community, including with health, housing, food, COVID vaccines, and pets.

Bagged/boxed food items and toiletry/necessity bags are also available on a first-come, first-served basis, according to event organizers.
