According to the SPD, Harris vandalized the "Vote Yes to Schools" signs by spray-painting them with the message "No 2 Taxes". The vandalism occurred between April 18 and April 24.

The DD2 referendum is proposing to use $200 million to alleviate overcrowding in the district, which would include the construction of two new schools. If approved, the referendum would be paid for without a new tax increase.

Early voting on the referendum will take place through May 10 at the Marcia O'Brien Conference Center. The special election for the referendum will be held on May 14.
