South Carolina economist says inflation will be felt beyond Thanksgiving dinner

“When we talked last, I told you the general inflation rate for the year would be about five and a half but now it looks like it will be more like six,” said Charleston Southern University Economics Professor Dr. Arnold Hite. Hite says inflation will be felt at the table this Thanksgiving, mainly in the big ticket items. He says beef prices are up 20%, fish is up over 11%, chicken is up 8. 5% and ham is up over 7% from 2020 pricing.
