SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) — South Main Street in Summerville has reopened Friday morning after officials say a crash resulted in a downed power line and caused part of the roadway to close in both directions. An official said someone struck the pole and left the scene.
The incident was on South Main street between West Richardson Avenue to West Carolina Avenue. The closure occurred at approximately 4:45 a.m.
The roadway reopened around 6:44 a.m.
