Taking a stand against violence.

One Lowcountry nonprofit is bringing the community together in a unique way to share one message.

On Saturday, the organization hosted its 15th Annual Peace Rally.

The event featured live performances from local artists, and a fashion show, which presented work from several designers.

The chief executive officer and director of the event David Freeman said that through this peace rally, there’s one message he wants everyone to leave with.

“This is our way to stand up against violence, doing it our way through fashion, music, and dance. We do it to make an impact” said Freeman. “We are making a bold stand by saying Enough is enough. Starting a conversation and getting the community involved."

Freeman adds that he wants the community to join the fight against violence and help put peace in the minds of the youth.
