Trident Health System will break ground in December on a new freestanding behavioral health hospital. It will be the first of its kind in the Lowcountry in the last 30 years. Those beds are provided by Trident Health System, the Medical University of South Carolina and Palmetto Behavioral Health. But, advocates for mental health say that number is not enough.
