CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The African diaspora will be on display through music at the International Africa American Museum's "Keys & Conversations" event, the museum announced Tuesday.
Slated for Saturday, May 4, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Momentum, will perform a fusion of Jazz, R&B, should and gospel music inspired by legends like Stevie Wonder, Jon Batiste, Snarky Puppy and Herbie Hancock.
The performance is in partnership with Charleston Jazz, a nonprofit founded in 2008, with a mission to build local and global community through jazz music, education and outreach.
"Keys & Conversations" is a program by the International African American Museum that provides families a chance to view music performances and engage with musicians through discussions.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children. Museum members will receive $5 off the purchase of each ticket.
The event will take place in the West Yard of the museum, located at 14 Wharfside St.
