Infant shot in Robeson Co. incident that left man dead, deputies say

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WPDE) — Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a man and injuries to two others, including a six-month-old infant.

Deputies responded to Children's Road in Red Springs just after 3 p.m. on Friday following reports that two people were shot.

Authorities were also sent to the Red Springs Police Department in reference to an infant suffering from a gunshot wound.

Once deputies arrived at Children’s Road, they found 27-year-old Kyle Jones of Shannon dead and a woman injured.

The woman and infant were taken to nearby hospitals where the woman is in critical but stable condition and the infant faces non-life-threatening injuries.
