Frank Navarro, the former Ivy League football coach who helped turnaround a struggling Division III program at Wabash College, has died. He was 91. Wabash announced Tuesday that Navarro died on May 30 at his home in Charleston, South Carolina, of natural causes. Navarro played at Maryland and was a lineman on the Terrapins’ 1952 Sugar Bowl-winning team. The White Plains, New York, native began his coaching career at Columbia in 1955 as an assistant.
