Fire crews from Dorchester and Berkeley counties tackle 'massive' landfill blaze

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A "massive" landfill fire has sparked a response from Dorchester County and Berkeley County fire crews, according to a post on Dorchester County Fire Rescue's Facebook page.

The fire is located off Harrison Road at a landfill in the area. Dorchester County Fire Rescue and units with Berkeley County Fire Service are fighting the flames.

Fire officials confirmed there were no injuries.

Officials encourage the public to stay clear of the area.
