Elon Musk ridiculed news that the Trump administration’s Justice Department and FBI found that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide and there was no evidence the disgraced financier kept a “client list.”
When feuding with President Donald Trump early last month, Musk alleged the DOJ had not released the Epstein files because the president was named in them.
However, Axios reported Sunday night that the DOJ and FBI found Epstein committed suicide and there was no evidence showing he kept a “client list.”
Musk took to his social media platform in Monday’s early hours to mock the latest news concerning Epstein.
“What’s the time? Oh look, it’s no-one-has-been-arrested-o’clock again,” the Tesla and SpaceX CEO wrote on X. He added an image with the text, “The Official Jeffrey Epstein Pedophile Arrest Counter” and the numerals “0000.”
After one X user suggested, “if there were any evidence either side could use against the other it would be plastered all over everything,” Musk responded: “Unless both sides were guilty.”
In a reply to another user, Musk ominously warned: “This is the final straw.”
That response was in a string that began with Musk showing a clown in four stages of makeup, from beginning to conclusion. He called the stages: “Well will release the Epstein list… We just need more time… The Epstein list is on my desk… There is no Epstein list.”
Last month, after suggesting Trump’s name was in the Epstein files, Musk said he “went too far” with some of his posts concerning the president. The former head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, unhappy with the tax cut and spending cut megabill, had embarked on an online feud with his former boss.
Musk on Saturday, a day after asking his followers on X whether a new U.S. political party should be created, said that the “America Party is formed.”
The announcement from Musk came after Trump signed the tax-cut and spending bill into law on Friday, which the billionaire fiercely opposed.
