(NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C.) -- A number of employees at Boeing's North Charleston plant face the possibility of being laid off as part of a cost reduction effort by the company.
According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, the job cuts could see staff being cut by as much as 20 percent at Boeing's North Charleston facility. The plant reportedly houses at least 6,000 workers.
The newspaper reports that layoffs will affect mainly contract workers.
