(COLUMBIA, S.C.) -- Governor Nikki Haley and representatives of Christ Central Ministries celebrated the opening of the new Columbia Medical Care Center on Tuesday.

The facility is a 100 percent privately funded community and faith based medical clinic.

“This is a beautiful facility that didn’t happen by itself,” said Haley during the press conference. “This is neighbors helping neighbors.”

“Our goal is to have a clinic like this in all 46 counties in the state,” said Pastor Jimmy Jones, CEO Christ Central Ministries. 

The clinic provides basic medical, dental, eye care, pharmacy, foot care, and triage services free of charge. The clinic is another step in CCM’s plans to make free healthcare available to those in need in all parts of the state.
