(CHARLESTON, S.C.) -- A State Transport Police Officer and another motorist were involved in an accident Friday morning on I-26.

The accident occurred minutes before 9 a.m. on I-26 westbound near Exit 219. One lane of I-26 at the accident was opened to traffic following the crash.

Police, fire and EMS responders responded to the scene. It is not known if any injuries occurred.
