(NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C.) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in North Charleston on Thursday evening.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. in the area of Ashley Phosphate and Stall roads. Police say Samuel Grant, 62, stepped off a curb and into the path of an oncoming vehicle when he was struck, according to published reports.
Grant was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
